Game Elements
The following are the various game elements you’ll notice when playing Zaxxoids:
Zaxxoids Come in four colors: red, blue, green, and purple. These can be eliminated by forming lines of three or more balls and/or Zaxxoids of the same color, or destroyed by a bomb. Zaxxoids can be free to roll or “locked” in place. You must eliminate all Zaxxoids in order to successfully complete a level. |
Standard Balls Come in four colors: red, blue, green, and purple. These can be eliminated by forming lines of three or more balls and/or Zaxxoids of the same color, or destroyed by a bomb. Balls can be free to roll or “locked” in place. |
Black Balls Cannot be destroyed except by using a bomb. Black Balls can be free to roll or “locked” in place. |
Timebombs Will explode when their timer reaches zero. |
Fuse Bombs Will explode when they come to rest. |
Critical Cells Are marked with a “hazard” symbol. If a ball or Zaxxoid comes to rest on a Critical Cell, you’ll have a limited time to move it away or else lose the level. |
Flying Ball Delivery Robots These place new balls and bombs on the playing field. |
Spawning Cells Are marked with a “target” symbol. The flying ball delivery robots will place balls onto the playing field on these cells. If a ball or Zaxxoid comes to rest on a Spawning Cell, you’ll have a limited time to move it away or else lose the level. |
No-Bomb Cells These look like a normal cell, but when a bomb enters them it is vaporized. |
Gates These are the parts that block the bottom right or bottom left side of a cell. You can flip the gates by left-clicking on the cell. |
Flags Flags are placed by center-clicking on a cell. They have no effect on other game elements, but can help you mark no-bomb cells, gates you don’t want to flip accidently, etc. |
